If possible, try and view it at his house. Then there is more of a chance the car will get a cold start. If a turbos seals are starting to go, there is a chance the turbos will burn oil and smoke a little on start up. This is b.c the seals are cold and haevnt expanded. Once the car warms up, the seals should hold and the smoking stops. This is a bad thing and is a sign the turbos are going. Alot of people will insist on meeting you somewhere or will jsut warm the car up before you get there. There are many other things to look at such as, what peak boost pressure your reaching, how the turbos are spooling, and noises that the turbos should and shuoldnt make.
